Fire Prevention Week

Chief Chris Upton, Assistant Chief Kevin Brantley, and Junior Firefighters Adam Brantley, Blake Houston and Keaton Lester visited students at SCES on November 11, 2009 for Fire Prevention activities.

All students were given a Junior Firefighter helmet and packets with Fire Safety information.

Students were able to crawl through the fire engine and look at the equipment.

Junior Captain Adam Brantley put on his turnout gear and showed the students what firefighters wore while fighting fires.

Chief Upton would like to thank the students and staff for allowing the visit for this year's safety program.

	Students at Sharps Chapel Elementary School got a visit from the Sharps Chapel Fire Department during Fire Prevention Week Activities.
	Students were given fire hats, rulers, and fire safety packets were given to each class as well. Firefighters discussed fire safety with each student.
	Firefighter Darrell Morris is shown explaining what firefighters wear in house fires, and he also shows them what they wear when fighting forest fires. Junior Firefighter Adam Brantley is shown wearing his turnout (firefighting gear) for the demonstration.
