ISO Review Went Well, Will Release New Rating In A Few Months
Posted April 21, 2006
On Monday, April 3rd, a representative from (ISO)
Insurance Services Offices met with Chief Upton at Station 51 to be reviewed and
inspected for a better ISO Rating, which will help lower homeowner insurance
rates in the Sharps Chapel area.
It will be a few months before the new rating is issued, but it appears as
though we will have a better rating, according to Chief Upton.
The Chief discussed what we needed to do to continue improvements. We will
post information and release it to The Union News Leader as it is available.

On Sunday, November 5, 2006, Sharps Chapel VFD Chief Chris Upton and other SCVFD members met with a group of Motorcycle Red Knight members in Knox-ville to receive a $1,624.84 contribution. Marlow VFD also received $1,624.84.
Each year the Red Knights (a Firefighter Motorcycle Club) picks two volunteer fire departments in the area to split contributions that were raised at the Annual 9/11 Memorial Ride.
Chief Upton said he and the Department would like to thank the Red Knights for picking their Department this year. These funds will be very helpful with our yearly operations budget.
