March Comes In Like A Lion

Sharps Chapel firefighters were busy as bees when March blew in this year.

High winds from March 1st through March 3rd blew down several trees across the county and set off several wild fires.

SCVFD responded to 4 Tree Down In Roadway calls and 2 Brush Fire calls.

One brush fire on Ellison Lane burned more than 5 acres before it could be contained, and another on Garfield Lane in Sunset Bay burned approximately 1 acre.

No damage or injuries were reported.
