SCVFD Adds Another Vehicle To Fleet

Chief Chris Upton announced that Sharps Chapel VFD has now placed Squad 51 in service.

Squad 51 is a 1996 Chevy Blazer 4x4 Service Vehicle that the department purchased several months ago.  The vehicle is a former military vehicle that was purchased by the SCVFD through a Government Surplus Sale.

Chief Upton said the vehicle will be used for just about everything.  "We have a little bit of everything on this truck", Upton said.

Squad 51 is currently being kept at the chief's residence, which is a convenient location for several of the department members to retrieve in the event of an emergency.
